Subject: Putting strings into executables

When we release software, we are supposed to include the copyright
both in the source code comments and in the executable. Well, I
released some software written in Icon and I tried including the
string, but when I ran "strings" over the executable it did not find
it. I'm guessing that icont compresses the string literals. Is this
true? Is there a way to avoid it?
Thanks,
Owen O'Malley
